(IBDP)
Preparing Global Leaders through Inquiry, Character, and Scholarship
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a globally recognized educational framework designed to develop inquisitive, knowledgeable, and caring young people who are prepared to thrive in a fast-changing, interconnected world.
Offered in over 150 countries, the IB emphasizes critical thinking, global awareness, and academic excellence. At Rose of Sharon, we integrate this with our Christian foundational values to ensure learners grow spiritually and socially alongside their academic pursuits.
The IB DP is a two-year pre-university programme (Years 12-13) recognized globally by universities and employers for its academic depth and holistic development.
17–19 years or students entering Year 12/13.
Strong performance in IGCSE, MYP, or equivalent (Recommended 5+ credits).
Demonstrated motivation, discipline, and an academic interview.
Ensuring breadth, depth, and personal development.
These three compulsory elements distinguish the IB DP from all other curricula:
Exploring how knowledge is constructed and how we understand the world.
A 4,000-word independent research paper on a topic of the student’s choice.
Engagement in artistic, physical, and community service to develop leadership.
Assessment includes external examinations at the end of the two-year programme and internal assessments (projects, oral work, and labs).
The world rewards thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators. The IB builds these skills step-by-step. At Rose of Sharon, we provide the international excellence and spiritual foundation your child needs to flourish.
